DAY 1.  HUE'S HISTORIC TREASURES!

City of Saigon
Ben Thanh Market

We kick off the day with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Hue—get ready to ride! Your guide will introduce you to your bike, your partner in exploring the enchanting sights of Vietnam’s former imperial capital.

Our journey begins with a ride through Hue’s tree-lined avenues and serene rice paddies, where glimpses of Vietnam’s rich history await at every turn. Visit the grandiose tomb of a famous emperor, a breathtaking palace built for the afterlife. Cross the iconic Perfume River by ferry and marvel at the 17th-century Thien Mu Pagoda, perched on its majestic hilltop overlooking the water.

Next, step back in time at the Forbidden City of the Nguyen dynasty, a moated palace that has stood witness to pivotal moments in Vietnam’s history—from the rise of the Nguyen dynasty to the French colonial era and the Tet Offensive.

After a flavorful local lunch, check into your hotel and enjoy free time to unwind. For those eager to explore more, take a stroll through Hue’s vibrant riverfront streets, lush parks, and tranquil gardens, or visit nearby imperial tombs.

DAY 2 . HUE’S OUTSKIRTS AND COASTAL BEAUTY

City of Saigon
Ben Thanh Market

This morning, we bid farewell to our hotel in Hue and embark on a 15-minute drive to the city’s outskirts. There, we hop on our bikes and pedal through tranquil canals and rivers into the estuary of the Perfume River, where farming and fishing villages dot the serene landscape.

Our journey takes us to the extraordinary “Ghost City,” an astonishing collection of ornate ancestral mausoleums funded by Vietnamese expatriates. The intricate craftsmanship of these tombs contrasts strikingly with the surrounding rice fields, woodlands, and wetlands, offering an unforgettable glimpse into rural life and local traditions.

Continuing through this peaceful countryside, we arrive at the shores of Vietnam’s largest lagoon, a hub for oyster and fish farming, where breathtaking views abound. From here, we transfer 40 km to the Lang Co Beach Resort for a delicious lunch.

The afternoon is yours to unwind—relax on the beach, rejuvenate at the spa, or simply enjoy the luxurious surroundings of the resort.

DAY 3.  HAI VAN PASS AND  HOI AN

City of Saigon
Ben Thanh Market

This morning, we set off directly from the resort, enjoying a scenic ride around a peaceful lagoon before tackling the day’s highlight: the iconic Hai Van Pass. The 10-km ascent to 480 meters above sea level rewards us with panoramic views of Da Nang Bay—a breathtaking experience worth every pedal stroke! From the summit, we revel in an exhilarating downhill ride to the vibrant city of Da Nang, where we stop for a well-deserved lunch.

In the afternoon, we continue with a leisurely, scenic ride toward Hoi An. Our route winds through Da Nang’s neighborhoods, offering glimpses of local life and the striking Marble Mountains, whose dramatic limestone formations seem to rise magically from the flat landscape. We then follow the Thu Bon River through riparian countryside into Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site with over 844 historic structures.

Once a bustling port for Chinese, Japanese, and Portuguese traders, Hoi An's architecture reflects its cosmopolitan past. We’ll spend two nights in this lively town, giving you ample time to explore its festive atmosphere, vibrant streets, and rich cultural heritage.

DAY 4. HOI AN - MY SON - HOI AN

City of Saigon
Ben Thanh Market

This morning, we set off from our hotel in Hoi An, cycling along small village roads and farm lanes that wind their way up the Thu Bon River. The journey offers an intimate glimpse into the region’s vibrant ecosystem and agrarian lifestyle, shaped by the rhythms of tides, rains, and lush jungle flora.

Our destination is the magnificent My Son Sanctuary, the ancient capital of the Champa civilization. This Hindu kingdom flourished for centuries, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of temples that reflect its prosperity and artistry. While some structures bear the scars of history, many temples still stand as stunning tributes to the ingenuity of the Champa kingdom.

After lunch, we explore the site on foot, soaking in its rich history and serene atmosphere. In the afternoon, a van transfer brings us back to Hoi An in just over an hour.

The evening is yours to savor! Enjoy a self-guided culinary adventure through Hoi An’s lively markets and riverside restaurants. Need suggestions? Your guides will gladly point you to their favorite spots for an unforgettable dining experience.

DAY 5. HOI AN - QUANG NGAI

City of Saigon
Ben Thanh Market

This morning, we bid farewell to Hoi An and cross the stunning Cua Dai Bridge, which offers breathtaking views of the Thu Bon River, the open ocean, and the Cham Islands on the horizon. Our ride takes us along peaceful rural roads, where friendly local farmers offer warm greetings as we pedal through Vietnam’s countryside.

We arrive at Tam Thanh Village to enjoy its serene beach and indulge in a delicious lunch of fresh local seafood. Afterward, we transfer approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to the historic site of My Lai. Here, we take a meaningful walk to an old temple and visit the My Lai Memorial and Museum, a sobering reminder of one of the most tragic events of the American War. Our guides provide insights into the experiences of the Vietnamese people during this time and discuss the lasting impact of the conflict.

A short 30-minute transfer brings us to the tranquil Cocoland River Beach Resort & Spa near Quang Ngai. Nestled where the Phuoc Giang River meets the sea, this peaceful retreat offers the perfect setting to relax and reflect on the day’s journey.

DAY 6. QUANG NGAI TO QUY NHON

City of Saigon
Ben Thanh Market

This morning, we transfer by van for 2.5 hours to reach the perfect cycling terrain further south. Our ride begins with a scenic journey through rolling coastal landscapes, passing rice paddies, salt flats, and bustling fishing villages. Along the way, we navigate a series of gentle passes, each offering a natural gateway to secluded beach communities with breathtaking ocean views.

Our destination is Quy Nhon, a city with a layered history. Once an American port and supply hub during the Vietnam War and a refuge for thousands of Vietnamese displaced by bombing campaigns, Quy Nhon has since transformed into a thriving center for agriculture and fisheries in Binh Dinh Province.

We conclude today’s ride alongside a picturesque river estuary with stunning views of the Quy Nhon skyline. A short transfer takes us to our centrally located hotel, where you can unwind before exploring the city. Stroll along bustling streets and the lively waterfront promenade, then cap off the day with a well-deserved dinner at one of your guide’s favorite local restaurants.

DAY 7. DIEU TRI - TUY HOA

City of Saigon
Ben Thanh Market

We start the day with a 45-minute transfer out of Quy Nhon to the Ky Lo River valley, where our cycling journey begins. The route takes us along a panoramic inland road, surrounded by lush greenery and the rolling foothills of the highlands. Passing through a mix of tribal and Viet villages, we’ll share the road with potbellied pigs, free-roaming chickens, and joyful barefoot children. Along the way, we cross rushing streams where locals fish with traditional lines, immersing ourselves in the rhythms of rural life.

After riding approximately 50 km, we leave the valley behind and follow serene trails along a lagoon, surrounded by farmland and vibrant market villages. The day’s ride concludes with a stunning coastal section as we approach Tuy Hoa. The city welcomes us with its modern sculptures and a newly revitalized waterfront promenade.

Our stylish hotel is conveniently located near the sea and the bustling city core, offering you the chance to explore this rising gem of Central Vietnam. Take a leisurely evening stroll along the shore or discover the local flavor of Tuy Hoa’s emerging cultural and culinary scene.

DAY 8. TUY HOA - WHALE ISLAND

City of Saigon
Ben Thanh Market

Our final day of cycling promises to be unforgettable. We begin with a ride from our hotel, pedaling through picturesque valleys framed by looming mountains and lush rice paddies. After the first 20 km, the scenery turns spectacular—but so does the challenge.

We tackle the Ca Pass, a steep ascent with a 10% grade that tests our mettle as we climb toward Vung Ro Bay. The effort is rewarded with stunning jungle and bay views, offering perfect photo opportunities at the bay. The final push takes us to the top of the pass, where we’re greeted with sweeping panoramas of the landscape below.

The descent leads us to Dai Lanh Beach, a pristine stretch of sand where we stop for refreshments and, for the adventurous, a refreshing swim—bike shorts and all! From here, we transfer to Dam Mon, though biking may be an option depending on conditions. The moonscape-like terrain of Dam Mon offers a unique contrast to the lush environments we’ve encountered throughout the tour.

At Dam Mon, we trade our bikes for a short 10-minute boat journey to Whale Island, a secluded paradise where we’ll spend the next two nights. This serene island retreat is the perfect spot to unwind, reflect on our journey, and enjoy some well-earned relaxation.

DAY 9. WHALE ISLAND REST DAY

City of Saigon
Ben Thanh Market

Nestled in untouched nature, Whale Island offers a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Named after the indigenous tradition of whale worship, this 900-hectare sanctuary is pristine, uninhabited apart from the resort, and teeming with life. From vibrant flowers and exotic birds to shimmering schools of fish and—if luck is on our side—whales or whale sharks, the island is a haven for biodiversity.

The day is yours to embrace this paradise however you wish.

Snorkel to explore the island’s renowned coral reefs.

Glide across the turquoise bay by kayak or catamaran.

Trek the scenic trails through the island’s unspoiled terrain.

Relax on the beach or at the terrace bar, soaking in the views with a refreshing drink.

For those seeking pure leisure, settle into a deck chair with a book or simply let the gentle sea breeze carry your thoughts away.

In the evening, we’ll gather for our final dinner, a celebration of the incredible journey we’ve shared along Vietnam’s Central Coast. Indulge in a feast of local specialties as we reflect on the unforgettable landscapes, cultural treasures, and camaraderie of this amazing adventure

DAY 10. WHALE ISLAND – NHA TRANG

City of Saigon
Ben Thanh Market

This morning, we transfer back to the mainland to begin the next phase of your journey. Our included transfer will take you to Nha Trang or Cam Ranh Airport for your domestic or international connections. For those wishing to travel to Tuy Hoa Airport or other destinations, we are happy to assist with those arrangements at an additional cost.
