DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1 : HANOI - BA BE
7:30 AM:We will begin the day with a pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi, heading northeast towards Ba Be National Park.
Along the way, we’ll stop for lunch at a quaint village restaurant, enjoying local flavors.
After lunch, the journey continues through breathtaking mountain landscapes and lush tea plantations, leading to Ba Be Lake, a tranquil, emerald-green lake nestled within a natural forest.
Upon arrival, you'll travel to the picturesque Tay village of Pac Ngoi, renowned for its traditional stilt houses and the warm hospitality of the Tay people, who sustain their lives through fishing in Ba Be Lake and farming. Your accommodation for the night will be a cozy homestay with a local family, providing an authentic cultural experience.
In the afternoon, you’ll have time to explore the stunning surroundings. A visit to Hua Ma Cave will reveal thousands of mesmerizing stalactites and stalagmites. If you wish, enjoy a leisurely walk around Pac Ngoi village, or simply relax in the peaceful atmosphere, soaking in the stunning views.
As the day winds down, return to your homestay to enjoy dinner and share stories with your hosts, immersing yourself in the local culture.
DAY 2 :TREKKING BABE NATIONAL PARK
Trekking Adventure in Ba Be National Park You’ll have the chance to explore the diverse and beautiful landscapes of Ba Be as you trek through the national park. Your local guide will begin the day by taking you to visit Pac Ngoi Village, where the Tay people make a living through fishing in the lake.
As you embark on your trek, you will cross the Pelu Stream and navigate some steep terrain. As you gain height, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
Continuing your journey towards the uplands, you’ll stop in a H'mong ethnic village to enjoy a delightful picnic lunch amidst the stunning natural scenery.
After lunch, your guide will lead you through vast mountain ranges and valleys, where you can admire the stilt houses and school of the Dzao people. The trail will take you to visit another H'mong ethnic village, allowing you to immerse yourself in the local culture.
After a day filled with exploration and discovery, you will return to your homestay where you started this morning, reflecting on the incredible experiences and beautiful landscapes of Ba Be.
DAY 3 : BA BE - HANOI
Boat Trip on Ba Be LakeAfter enjoying breakfast at your homestay, you'll check out and walk to the quay to embark on a delightful boat trip around Ba Be Lake. As you relax on board, take the opportunity to spot wildlife or cool off with a refreshing swim in the clean, cool waters of the lake.
As you float down the Nang River, soak in the stunning scenery of the surrounding karsts, adorned with patches of wild vegetation and home to a variety of fascinating creatures. Keep an eye out for the vibrant butterflies fluttering across the sky and listen to the soothing songs of the many bird species that inhabit the park.
The boat will take you to Puong Cave, where you can explore impressive stalactites and stalagmites formed by the river's erosion of the karst. Don't forget to look for the massive bat colony that calls this cave home, with thousands of bats flying above.
After your exploration of the lake, you will begin your drive back to Hanoi, resting and taking in the beautiful scenery along the way. You’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before arriving back in Hanoi concluding your memorable adventure in Ba Be.
