DAY 1: HANOI - TAM COC (BOAT & BIKE RIDES)
Departure from Hanoi Get ready for an exciting day as we depart from your hotel in Hanoi and head to the charming province of Ninh Binh.
After a 2-hour drive, we arrive in Ninh Binh and prepare for an enchanting experience at Tam Coc. Hop aboard a traditional sampan boat and let the local rowers guide you through the mesmerizing landscape. As you navigate the gentle waterways, you'll pass through three tunnel-like caves, immersing yourself in the stunning natural beauty that surrounds you.
Indulge in a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, savoring the flavors of authentic Vietnamese cuisine and replenishing your energy for the rest of the day's adventures.
Get ready for a delightful bicycling adventure along scenic back roads. Pedal your way through the countryside, immersing yourself in the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings. Along the way, we'll make a stop at the captivating Thai Vi Temple, where you can learn about its historical and cultural significance.
Continue your cycling journey to Bich Dong Pagoda, a hidden gem nestled amidst picturesque landscapes. Explore the ancient pagoda and marvel at its intricate architecture while enjoying the serene ambiance of the surroundings.
DAY 2: VISIT CUC PHUONG NATIONAL PARK
Departure to Cuc Phuong National Park You will be picked up bright and early from your hotel for the journey to Cuc Phuong National Park, the oldest nature reserve in Vietnam, established in 1960. The park is draped in lush vegetation, providing a refreshing escape from the city.
Your trip will begin with a visit to the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, breeding, research, and conservation of endangered primates and the protection of their habitats.
Next, venture deeper into the park to explore the cave of an ancient man, a significant archaeological site discovered within the park.
Stop for lunch at a stilt house located in the heart of the park, enjoying a meal surrounded by nature.
Embark on a short trek (7-10 km) into the national park, where you will learn about the diverse fauna and flora that thrive in this rich ecosystem.
After your trek, visit the Park Centre to see a thousand-year-old tree and many other giant trees, marveling at the natural wonders of Cuc Phuong before heading to your accommodation.
Enjoy dinner and spend the night at a national park bungalow or in a hotel, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature
DAY 3 : CUC PHUONG - HANOI
Departure to Van Long Nature ReserveAfter breakfast, we’ll set off for Van Long Nature Reserve for an immersive experience in the Vietnamese countryside.
Upon arrival, you’ll have the option to explore the village either by bicycle or by riding a traditional buffalo cart. This scenic ride will provide an authentic glimpse into the daily lives of the local people, taking you through fields and small villages where you can witness rural life up close.
For lunch, we’ll stop at a local restaurant to savor delicious Vietnamese dishes, giving you the perfect opportunity to refuel for the next adventure.
After lunch, you’ll board a bamboo rowboat for a tranquil journey through the Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve. As you glide along this serene wetland, surrounded by rice paddies, lotus ponds, and dramatic limestone peaks, you’ll have the rare chance to see the critically endangered Delacour's langur in its natural habitat. The breathtaking scenery and rich biodiversity make this boat trip a truly unforgettable experience.
In the late afternoon, we’ll head back to Hanoi, reflecting on the day’s adventures in the picturesque Vietnamese countryside.
