DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1 : HANOI- SAPA TREKKING SA XENG VILLAGE
You will be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi early in the morning for your exciting journey to Sapa. This morning's drive will take you along the HW Noi Bai – Lao Cai, Vietnam's longest highway. Enjoy the scenic views as you travel from the Red River Delta through the midlands to Lao Cai province.
Arrive in Sapa by noon and enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in town, sampling some of the region’s unique flavors.
After lunch, we’ll transfer to the trekking point in Sa Xeng Village, making a short stop along the way to capture stunning photos of Muong Hoa Valley.
Once we reach Hau Thao, it’s time to lace up your trekking shoes and begin your afternoon trek to Sa Xeng. This trek will take you along a small back road winding through the picturesque valley. Most of the route is gently downhill, allowing you to pass several traditional villages and enjoy breathtaking views of the rice terraced fields.
At the end of the trek, you’ll be picked up and returned to Sapa town, where you can check in to your hotel for the night.
Dinner is on your own account, giving you the chance to explore local dining options and try some delicious Sapa cuisine.
Trekking Distance: Approximately 7 km (2 hours of trekking). Enjoy your adventure in the stunning landscapes of Sapa!
DAY 2 : CAT CAT - LAO CHAI - TA VAN VILLAGE TREKKING
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you and your tour guide will set off for a moderate trek to Muong Hoa Valley. Your first stop will be at a beautiful waterfall in Cat Cat Village, home to the Black H'mong people. Here, you can take photographs and, if the timing is right, enjoy some traditional music and dance performances.
The trek begins with a descent on concrete steps leading to the waterfall, which can be quite crowded. Once you've taken in the sights, you'll continue on a small dirt path toward Lao Chai Village. This less-traveled path offers stunning views of the valley and its surroundings.
A basic lunch will be provided at a local food store along the trek, allowing you to refuel for the next leg of your journey.
After lunch, you will descend into Lao Chai Village and then onward to Ta Van Village, where you'll experience a traditional home-stay. The terrain can be steep at times, which may pose a slight challenge for seniors; however, anyone with a moderate fitness level should find the trek manageable.
Your accommodation for the evening will be a local house, providing a basic but clean environment with bedding and mosquito nets.
Dinner will be served at the home-stay, where you can experience the warm hospitality of the local community. Spend the night enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside.
Trekking Distance: Approximately 12 km (7 hours of trekking). Enjoy this immersive experience in the breathtaking landscapes of Sapa!
DAY 3 : FANSIPAN- HANOI
This morning is yours to relax and explore Sapa Town at your leisure. You can indulge in some shopping, visit local markets, or simply enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. If you're interested in more activity, your tour guide and driver are always available to assist you with additional trekking options.
Optional Activity: If you're looking for an exciting adventure, consider taking a cable-car ride to Fansipan Peak, the highest point in Indochina. This experience offers breathtaking views and a thrilling way to reach the summit.
At 1:00 PM, we will depart from Sapa and head back to Hanoi via the same scenic highway.
You can expect to arrive in Hanoi marking the end of your Sapa adventure. Enjoy the memories made during your trek and the beauty of the region!
