DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: HANOI - BAC HA
8:00 AM: Departure from Hanoi You will be met and greeted by your private tour guide and driver at your hotel in Hanoi. Depart at 8:00 AM for a scenic drive along the HW (Noi Bai – Lao Cai), where you'll enjoy beautiful countryside views of the Red River Delta as you head towards the midlands of the Northwestern region.
Around noon, stop for lunch in Lao Cai City, where you can savor local dishes and recharge for the journey ahead.
After lunch, continue your drive for approximately 1.5 hours to Bac Ha district. Upon arrival, take a short boat ride on the Chay River (weather and water levels permitting).
After the boat ride, stretch your legs with an easy walk to visit Trung Do village, home to the Tay ethnic minority people, where you can learn about their culture and daily life.
Finally, arrive in Bac Ha and check in to a local homestay for the night. Enjoy the warm hospitality of your hosts and immerse yourself in the local culture
DAY 2: BAC HA - SAPA
You may be awakened by the sounds of domestic animals such as roosters or pigs early in the morning. After breakfast, get ready for a short transfer to Bac Ha town.
Colorful Sunday Market Stroll around the vibrant Sunday market, where you'll encounter the Flower H’mong people, known for their colorful attire. The market is a lively scene filled with local products for sale, showcasing the rich culture and traditions of the area. Immerse yourself in the sounds, smells, and colors that make this market truly captivating—it's a fantastic opportunity to capture stunning photographs and witness local trading practices.
After exploring the market, enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant.then we drive to Sapa
Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to rest and refresh for the remainder of the day.
Enjoy a peaceful evening in Sapa, where you’ll spend the night, ready for more adventures in this stunning mountainous region.
DAY 3: SAPA - MU CANG CHAI
Start your day with a transfer to a trekking point in Muong Hoa Valley. Here, embark on a scenic trek to visit several villages of the Black H’mong. Immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes, featuring beautiful terraced paddy fields that showcase the area’s agricultural heritage.
After your trek, you’ll be picked up and driven back to town for a well-deserved lunch.
Post-lunch, enjoy a scenic drive to Mu Cang Chai, another breathtaking paradise of rice terraces. Feel free to make stops along the way to capture the stunning landscapes with your camera.
Upon arrival, check into a stilt-house homestay of the Thai people near Mu Cang Chai town. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the homestay, savoring local flavors while soaking in the cultural experience.
Overnight: Relax and unwind in your homestay, experiencing the warm hospitality of the Thai community.
DAY 4: MU CANG CHAI TREK
Today, immerse yourself in a long scenic trek along small paths and back roads from Che Cu Nha to La Pan Tan. This trek showcases the best of the region, offering breathtaking views of the amazing rice terraced paddies that define the landscape. Take your time to appreciate the stunning scenery and capture memorable photographs along the way.
After a rewarding day of trekking, we’ll drive to Tu Le town. Upon arrival, check into a local hotel for the night.
Evening: Relax and enjoy a leisurely evening, reflecting on the beautiful landscapes and experiences of the day.
DAY 5: MU CANG CHAI - HANOI
This morning, enjoy a leisurely walk to explore the scenic Tu Le Valley. Take in the breathtaking views of the lush landscapes and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the area. This tranquil experience is a perfect way to start your day.
After your visit to Tu Le Valley, check out of your hotel and prepare for the drive back to Hanoi.
Along the way, stop at a local restaurant for a delicious lunch, where you can savor traditional Vietnamese dishes and recharge for the journey ahead.
