DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: HANOI - HA GIANG CITY
8:00 AM: Departure from Hanoi Begin your journey by departing from Hanoi at 8:00 AM. The drive to Ha Giang will occupy most of your day, with scenic views along the way.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant during your journey, savoring regional specialties as you continue towards Ha Giang.
Upon arrival in Ha Giang City, check in to your hotel and take some time to rest and recharge for the remainder of the day.
Indulge in a delicious dinner at your hotel or a nearby restaurant, enjoying the local cuisine. Spend the night in Ha Giang City, where you can unwind and prepare for the adventures ahead.
For a more immersive experience, consider staying overnight in a local house at a Tay ethnic village nearby. This home-stay option allows you to connect with the local culture. Please inform our travel specialist before the trip if you prefer this accommodation.
DAY 2: HA GIANG CITY - DONG VAN KARST GEO-PARK
7:00 AM: Departure from Hotel Check out of your hotel room, and your tour guide will escort you to a local breakfast spot to kick off your day.
Today marks one of the highlights of your trip as you travel to the renowned Dong Van Karst Geo-park. This UNESCO-listed site boasts a vast area of limestone formations, stunning mountain scenery, and a rich cultural heritage from the ethnic minorities that inhabit the region.
Photo Opportunities and Cultural Stops
Throughout the day, enjoy multiple stops along the route for photo opportunities and to visit local ethnic villages. Notable spots include:
Bac Sum Pass: A breathtaking viewpoint along the mountain pass.
Fairy Mountain: Climb a few steps to reach the viewpoint atop this hill for stunning vistas.
Tham Ma Pass: Another scenic viewpoint perfect for capturing the landscape.
Pho Cao H'mong Village: Experience the unique culture of the H'mong people.
Pho Bang Ancient Town: Explore the charm of this historical town.
House of Pao: Visit the residence of the Vuong family, known as the “Palace of the Hmong King.”
Arrive in Dong Van Town, where you can check in to your hotel. Take some time to refresh and relax before dinner, soaking in the unique atmosphere of this mountainous region.
DAY 3: DONG VAN KARST GEO-PARK DISCOVERY
Today promises to be just as impressive as you continue to explore the majestic Dong Van Karst Plateau.
Your tour guide will arrange breakfast for you before you set out at 8:00 AM. The Dong Van Karst Plateau is a unique blend of geo-heritages and cultural heritage, with around 80% of its karst formations being limestone shaped by environmental conditions and various developmental stages of nature. Marvel at the stunning scenery and immerse yourself in the local life and culture of the hill tribes, such as the H'mong people.
Begin with a short walk through the old quarter of Dong Van town before boarding your private transport to Meo Vac District.
The distance between Dong Van and Meo Vac is just 25 km, but this leg of the journey is nothing short of spectacular! The drive along Happy Road features breathtaking views, with the picturesque Nho Que River nestled at the bottom of Tu San Abyss. Stop at Ma Pi Leng Pass to take in the incredible scenery and embark on a morning trek along the sky-walk path—this trek will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your trip.
Enjoy lunch at a restaurant in Pavi village.
After lunch, you'll be transferred to the Nho Que River ticket checking point. Here, take a 2 km walk down steps to the water, where you’ll embark on a boat trip to visit Tu San Abyss Alley, renowned as one of the most magnificent canyons in Southeast Asia.
Following the boat ride, take a short walk up to Tu San Rock Ledge, where you can capture stunning photos with the Tu San Alley as your backdrop.
After the boat ride, walk back to the main road and continue your journey to Meo Vac Town, where you'll spend the night. Enjoy a relaxing evening reflecting on the day's adventures!
DAY 4: MEO VAC - BA BE LAKE
Today, we will spend the entire day driving downhill to Ba Be National Park. As we descend, you'll notice a shift in topography, offering greener views adorned with lush vegetation and dense forests.
Stop for a delightful lunch at a local food store along the way, where you can sample regional specialties.
In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive at Ba Be National Park. Check into your accommodation, which will either be a cozy home-stay near the lake or a comfortable private room at a lakeside lodge. Enjoy the serene surroundings and prepare for the adventures that await in this stunning national park.
DAY 5: BA BE LAKE - HANOI
After breakfast, transfer to the boat dock for a captivating motorboat ride through the lush green lake, continuing onward to the Nang River. As you cruise along, take in the stunning scenery, where the rainforest envelops the majestic limestone mountains.
Visit to Dau Dang Waterfall: Make a stop at the picturesque Dau Dang Waterfall, where you can enjoy the beauty of cascading waters surrounded by nature.
Cruise Up the Nang River: Continue your journey upstream along the Nang River, passing through Puong Cave. Experience the unique rock formations and tranquil atmosphere before concluding your boat ride at Buoc Lom Dock.
Afternoon: Drive Back to Hanoi
After disembarking, get back into your private vehicle for the drive back to Hanoi.
Lunch: Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant along the way, savoring the flavors of Vietnamese cuisine.
